So… last Friday, I left work a little early and drove down to San Diego, grabbed my favorite gal-pal, Natalie (of course it was Natalie!) and attended the Channel 93.3 Summer Kick-off Concert. We were a little late in buying tickets, but I lucked out on Stub Hub and got an AMAZING deal on Orchestra level tickets.
We saw my newest music infatuation, Lady Gaga, the Black Eyed Peas (an old favorite) and the All American Rejects. I’m not really a fan of the All American Rejects, Natalie and I mostly went so we could shake our booties to Lady Gaga and the Black Eyed Peas.
Lady Gaga, is a pop artist known for her flambouance … the different with Lady Gaga than others is — it is really well done and she really can sing. Check out her performance on American Idol:
Luckily, the whole concert was worth every penny and mostly — Lady Gaga met expectations and impressed! Whoo hoo for summer concert time!
On Thursday, TravelZoo had a deal for 50% off pretty good tickets at the San Diego Symphony. The performance? A world-class Soprano, Kathleen Battle, singing Italian arias. Opera and the Symphony gets NO BETTER than this. Well, unless it is Sarah Brightman. So tonight, I get to put on my fanciest pretty-woman style dress and enjoy center balcony seats. Probably a glass of wine or two too!
I get to be bias. Lindsey is one of my very good college friends. Besides be wicked smart and the Valedictorian of BOTH her majors, she can sing and produce and absolutely wonderful album. I love every song!
If you live in or around San Diego, take the time to check her out. You won’t regret a single second of her mesmerizing voice.
I could almost cry. It has been far too long since Sarah McLachlan has released a new CD and even though this album is a Best of, it has two new songs and that has me just tickled pink.
