Intro to the article:
Great music can inspire us to do anything: love one another, protest an unjust war, make sweet, sweet love to a large black man in the 1970s.
But in the ’80s there were a series of songs that inspired us to kick ass in every way possible. None inspired more ass kicking than these.
but, I’m not, but with Mr. Picassohead, I can pretend to be! Perhaps, I should send them home to my mom to hang on the fridge!

The view from our hotel room
Almost a month ago in a time that seems so far far away, two girls left San Diego to go to Cabo, Mexico on an all inclusive vacation. They came back 6 pounds heavier and full of joy. Less than a month later, almost all that relaxation has fizzled away, but the great memories will always remain.

Natalie and I went for a romantic sunset horseback ride
Our first full day there, Natalie and I went to go for a walk on the beach and saw the horses. This was what I wanted to do the first time when I came with Kevin and I didn’t get too. We went on a one-hour ride where they let me run (and I mean run) the horse up and down the beach. It was a highlight of the trip and really kicked in the I’m having fun on vacation vibe.

The next day, Natalie and I decided to go on a snorkel cruise. Little did we know that this was actually a booze cruise. A Canadian couple who were escaping 35 degree BELOW weather had a great time. The husband got absolutely hammered and danced/fell all around the boat. A conservative family from the Midwest ended up doing Tequila shots together (Mom, Dad and two teenagers)! We all danced to various old eighties rock!
On the way out there and back we encountered humpback whales. They were truly majestic and awe-inspiring. At one point in time a mother and a baby were just a few feet from the edge of the ship. I’ve never experienced any thing like it!

After the horses, snorkeling and two nights of serious dancing I could barely walk! Natalie had to take a picture of me gimping up the stairs holding onto the rail like an old lady.
All in all, it was a wonderful time! I feel so lucky that I got to experience such wonderful experiences with someone as truly fun to be around and as amazing as Natalie.
