Great Motivation…

Recently, I posted a blog on running the Newport Backbay. What great motivation before a run, than to read a sweet note from my wonderful bf. Living together can be so enriching (but more on that later)…. I think I’m going to go for my Sunday run with the puppy!
Surviving the Opening Residental
The five day opening residential for my new MBA program was one of the hardest things I have done, in a while. I left exhausted. I left exhilarated. I am so excited for what is coming and I am so happy I chose to do this.
The best part of my residential was by far my small group. The program puts you into groups of 4 or 5 and these are the people you will be with for the first six quarters or so. They try to keep you in the same geographical location with different majors, jobs and background. Every year there is a group that just “clicks” — I think it is going to be mine! More on these wonderful people later.
What was the residential like? Besides staying up until 1 every night, not sleeping from anxiety and using my brain in ways I forgot to function, it was a walk in the park!
A picture of my small group in our room, writing papers.

I was so tired when I took this picture, I didn’t think it was blurry!
The Killers - Sawdust
Very very rarely do my boyfriend and I agree on music. I’m a little too girly and soft for his taste and well… he’s a Nazi elitist when it comes to music. So the fact that we both like this album is saying something. I think 90% of the time Under the Gun comes on we both end up singing, “Kill me now, Kill me now, Kill me now, Kill me now.” Romantic, I know.
Here is a live version of Under the Gun.
